Is it convenient to start the generator to fill the water tanks? No.

It is supremely comfortable knowing there is no water bill.

Is it convenient to drive 45 minute to Home Depot? No.

It is comfortable to have the discipline and be intentional about our consumerism.

Is it convenient that to drive a minimum of 8 miles to get to the only restaurant for 30 miles? No.

It is comfortable that it is “our” restaurant, people know us and we have community. We also eat out a lot less and save money.

Is it convenient that I have to take a flashlight to walk outside? No.

It is comfortable that I get to explore and enjoy a piece of this creation that nobody else does without my permission.

Is it convenient that I have to keep a fire going 24×7 for warmth? No.

It is comfortable to know that I have the ability without the permission of others to take care of my family. And women like fires, it keeps them warm…

I have never met a city dweller that didn’t yearn deep in their soul for the outdoors and when they finally experience it, they didn’t want a piece of that for themselves. I used to love the city and then I met the real world. This creations world.

Oh and did I mention that October 2025 was the least expensive month for our family since 2023?

May I suggest that if you are able, get outdoors more than you remain indoors.
